Tuition & Aid
Pennsylvania Western University provides discounted tuition costs for active-duty members and veterans of all U.S. military branches, as well as their spouses and eligible dependents, when they enroll in PennWest 100% Global Online programs.
  • Undergraduates seeking an associate or bachelor's degree through Global Online will pay a reduced rate of $250 per credit, regardless of whether they are a PA resident or live outside of Pennsylvania. This is a savings of more than $100 per credit.
  • Master's degree students pay $399 per credit, or 90% of the in-state rate, no matter where they reside. This is a savings of more than $300 per credit for out-of-state residents.
  • Doctoral programs are exempt from the military tuition discount. Students using GI Bill or Tuition Assistance for a Doctoral program will still receive in-state tuition rates.

You may be eligible for one or more of the veteran benefits listed below. However, be aware that U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regulations prohibit students from using more than one benefit at a time. ROTC

Each campus’ Department of Military Science provides a program of leadership development which prepares college men and women for service as Officers in the United States Army. After graduation, they serve as commissioned officers on active duty, or as an officer in an Army Reserve or National Guard unit.

You will be applying to the campus of your choice, but do not worry. If you decide that one of other PennWest campus locations or academic programs more closely aligns with your goals, you will not have to apply again. The PennWest admissions team can help you to switch your campus or your major!
