Fourteen faculty from Pennsylvania Western University’s Communication Sciences and Disorders Department accompanied 40 undergraduate and graduate students to the Pennsylvania Speech-Language Hearing Convention April 10-13 at Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square.

  • Definitions of Stuttering and Disability Among Culturally Diverse Adults – Taylor Johnson, Sidhu, Torres-Nieto, Campbell and Grewel with Weidner and Coleman
  • Incorporating Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices at Mealtime in Pediatrics – Natalie Lenzie with mentor Brianna Miluk

PennWest Edinboro students won the student trivia bowl. Associate professor Nancy Carlino was recognized with the prestigious Honors of the Association.

Weidner is vice president of convention planning for PSHA; assistant professor and CSD assistant chair Dr. Kristen West and Staub are members of the Convention Planning Committee.
