History
History is the study of the human past. The causes and effects of change through an examination of social, political, economic, cultural and intellectual developments.
At PennWest, we encourage students to view issues from a variety of perspectives. Our History Department offers a diverse curriculum with courses in areas that span the globe.
Here you can engage with passionate historians and scholars as you build the foundation for your career, whether you’re headed toward teaching, law school, library science, theology, or any number of other fields
Politics
Are you driven to make a positive impact on society? Inspired by lively discussion and debate?
PennWest provides you with the tools and skills to understand the range of factors shaping the local, national and global environments in which we live, and to think critically and independently concerning pressing political issues.
We also offer opportunities outside of the classroom, including co-ops and internships
that can hone critical skills, provide hands-on experience and lead to valuable connections
after graduation.
