About Me

Dr. Leandro Junes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at PennWest California. His scholarly contributions include over fourteen peer-reviewed international publications and numerous presentations at local and international conferences. Dr. Junes has been awarded multiple research grants and has received recognition for his teaching excellence, including the FPDC Teaching Merit Award. His research interests span various topics in number theory and combinatorics, with current projects including a forthcoming book titled "Some Topics in Number Theory."

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Junes has played a significant role in curriculum development and has chaired several university-wide and departmental committees. He is deeply involved in undergraduate research, having founded and directed multiple research groups which aim to prepare students for academic careers in mathematics.

Dr. Junes holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he also received accolades for his dissertation work. He is a respected member of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society. Beyond academia, Dr. Junes contributes to the community through various service roles, including as a webmaster and advisor to student organizations, and as a participant in local and international mathematical conferences.
