About Me
Dr. Randilyn Lewis is an instructor in the Department of Health and Human Services, Nursing program at Pennsylvania Western University. Randilyn has held several different positions at PennWest Clarion including Senator representative for Clarion and Treasurer for the Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion University Committee. In addition to PennWest, Randilyn has been working in the field of maternal newborn nursing and clinical education for more than fourteen years at UPMC Northwest as a full-time staff nurse and Clinical Education Specialist. She is a Registered Nurse, a National Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, and an Obstetrics Educator. As a leader at PennWest, Randilyn is a co-chair for the ASN Nursing Club, Counselor for the Sigma Theta Tau Mu Xi Chapter, and a member of the simulation, faculty and student recognition, and IRB committees. Randilyn is also involved in the local community as a member of Venango County leadership coalition and various community outreach programs. Randilyn is a leader in her profession and has presented at numerous local and state conferences. Lastly, Randilyn’s research interests include implementing trauma-informed care into nursing practice, improving maternal newborn outcomes, increasing professional staff nurse confidence and practice with implemention of education specialists, and quality improvement.
