About Me
Dr. Aimee Workman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Exercise, Health, and Sport Sciences. She graduated in December 2023 with her EdD from Slippery Rock University majoring in Special Education. She is an alumnus of California University of Pennsylvania where she received an A.A.S in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2006, B.S. in Sport Management in 2008, and M.S. in Exercise Science in 2014. Aimee began her career at California University of Pennsylvania in 2014 as an adjunct professor teaching physical therapy labs. Within the PTA program, Aimee serves as the Director of Clinical Education for the PTA program, where she is responsible for clinical placement, serving as the liaison with all our clinical partners and obtaining affiliation agreements to ensure the students have a variety of acceptable clinical sites. Within the department, Aimee serves as a committee member for the Department of Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences Peer Evaluation and Promotion committee. In collaboration with many of physical therapy and physical therapy assistant programs, Aimee was the Co-Chair of the Three Rivers Academic Consortium from 2019-2022 and transitioned to the role of secretary in August 2023. Aimee is involved in local community events as she volunteers with adults with disabilities as a chaperone for outings and monthly dances. For professional affiliations, Aimee has served on the PTA advisory board for PennWest California/California University of PA since 2007. Additionally, she is an active member with the professional associations at the national and state level.
