Pennsylvania Western University’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host a screening of the documentary film “A Tree of Life: The Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting” beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Vulcan Theatre of the Natali Student Center on the California campus.

Following the screening, Carol Black and Audrey Glickman, survivors of the tragic 2018 attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, will share reflections on the events of that day and its lasting impact.

Watch parties will also be held at Suites on Main North Theatre on the Clarion campus and in Frank G. Pogue Student Center’s Scot Cinema on the Edinboro campus.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will provide a powerful opportunity for attendees to learn about the devastating impact of hate and the importance of building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

PennWest’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is committed to creating and sustaining campus environments that promote and celebrate a culture of inclusion, justice and belonging.
