The ceramics graduate program at Edinboro promotes artistic excellence as students develop an individual direction, whether in ceramic sculpture, vessel making or functional pottery. Our program emphasizes studio work and the critical analysis of that work through critiques and discussions. In addition to teaching, the ceramics faculty are active studio artists who exhibit their work on a national, and international level. We host at least two visiting artists each year, and many of our students attend the annual N.C.E.C.A. conference. Our alumni teach at universities, colleges and public schools across the country. They also work in art related jobs including arts administration, mold-making, production pottery and kiln building to name a few. We are especially proud of the large number of our graduates who have found success as studio artists.
