The jewelry/metalsmithing graduate program at Edinboro cultivates a dynamic atmosphere where MFA candidates are challenged to make distinct work that demonstrates both technical mastery and knowledge of vital issues facing our field today. We have close contact with our graduate students through regular critiques, demonstrations and discussions. Jewelry and Metals graduate students engage in critical discourse and work collaboratively with MFA students across the art disciplines. Our curriculum fosters self-reliance within a supportive community.

Graduate students are given private or semi-private workspaces and twenty-four-hour access to the facilities. The metals studio is well equipped for nearly all metalsmithing techniques, from fine jewelry making to large sculptural work.
