Step into the spotlight with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre degree from PennWest University.
This flexible program offers a traditional degree as well as two optional concentrations
in Design & Entertainment Technology or Musical Theatre. No matter which path you
choose, you’ll begin to hone your craft in your first semester and will enjoy plenty
of opportunities to dig deeply into your theatre studies, to perform on stage and
build your credentials as a theatre professional.

Because our theatre degree is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre, you can be sure you will receive a balanced mix of pre-professional training, performance and a classic liberal arts education.
Our professors are not only accomplished scholars, they are also passionate artists with long histories as professional artisans. They will help you grow into a well-rounded artisan, too. A broad general education component builds collaboration, time management, self-motivation and empathy skills while you grow your critical thinking skills by analyzing texts, music, literature and historical trends.
You will have extensive opportunities to hone your performance skills in our outstanding theatre facilities and can apply for internships and prepare for auditions and interviews with expert guidance from faculty mentors and advisors.
If you have a passion for the theater and teaching, you could also use this degree to become a drama or theater educator.

Theatre Student Give Performance of 'She Kills Monsters'
PennWest California’s University Players rolled for initiative as they presented “She Kills Monsters,” a drama-comedy play written by Qui Nguyen that uses the famous tabletop role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons to explore concepts of loss and sexuality.
