There is no minimum number of credits necessary before you are eligible to transfer to PennWest. Adhering to the PA Board of Governors (BOG) Student Transfer Policy, all college-level credits with a passing grade from post-secondary institutions with CHEA-recognized accreditation will be accepted in transfer. There is no maximum number of credits that will be admitted—however, the Residency requirement dictates that you must complete 30 of the last 60 semester hours in courses scheduled by the University for a bachelor's or associate degree. In addition, 50% of the major course requirements must be from a PA State System university.

To turn your associate degree into a bachelor's degree, take advantage of Pennsylvania's statewide Program-to-Program (P2P) Agreements. They allow students who graduate with specified associate degrees to transfer as juniors into bachelor degrees in similar fields of study at PennWest.
