- The student must have a valid FAFSA on file with the University.
- The applicant and student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- The student must have a completed Entrance Counseling on file with the University for Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized loans.
- Grad PLUS loan borrowers must have a completed Grad PLUS loan Entrance Counseling on file with the University.
- The applicant must have a valid Master Promissory Note (MPN) on file with the University.
- The student must be enrolled in an eligible program leading to a degree or certificate.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a of minimum 6 credit hours counting towards their degree completion for each semester the loan is received.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum 4.5 credit hours counting towards their degree completion for each semester the loan is received.
- The student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Click here for the University’s SAP policy.
- The applicant cannot be in default on a federal student loan or owe any repayment to a financial aid program.
