Home to the Clarion Eagles varsity athletics, we also have more than 150 student clubs and organizations and an amazing recreation center with fitness and intramural opportunities for everyone. You also have access to hiking trails, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and stunning wildlife to observe along the Clarion River and Cook Forest, along with a vibrant downtown to explore.

- Clarion Student Association - a nonprofit corporation owned and operated by the students of PennWest Clarion. The Clarion Students’ Association provides services that enhance student and community life through stewardship of its member's activity fee and resources.
- Conference and Event Services - Our Conference and Events team is here to help you plan and guide your upcoming student events! We provide software for reserving spaces and resources, along with support to ensure your event goes smoothly. Whether you’re organizing a small gathering or a larger function, we’ve got the tools and expertise to make it a success!
- Greek Life - The Greek Life Office, located in the Gemmell Student Complex, offers you a sense of family and a home away from home. It’s a welcoming space where you can connect with fellow students, engage in meaningful activities, and build lifelong friendships through fraternity and sorority life. Join us and discover the supportive community that Greek life has to offer!
- Leadership - The Gemmell Student Center offers a variety of leadership opportunities for students. Get involved by participating in programs that enhance your leadership skills.!
- The Information Desk serves as the central hub for student resources, offering services such as PennWest One Card printing, the university switchboard, event reservations, and billiards equipment sign out.
- The Office of Student Development offers key resources, including Volunteer Programs and Service Learning to connect students with community projects, the PennWest Clarion Pantry for food and essential supplies, and Commuter Services. It also organizes New Student Orientations and other major campus events like Family Weekend, enhancing campus life.
- Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union( PSECU) - PSECU, the Pennsylvania State Employee Credit Union. PSECU offers on-campus financial services to students and Penn West Clarion employees.
- Student Conduct - The Dean of Students and Student Conduct Office, located in the Gemmell Student Center, is dedicated to upholding the code of conduct for all students. We’re here to support a respectful and safe campus environment, ensuring that every student is held to the same standards. We are also a resource related to Title IX, Student complaints and the behavioral incident task force. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out!
- Student Mail Room - Student mailboxes are accessible seven days a week when Gemmell is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Package pick-up is available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
- University Activities - The University Activities Board is dedicated to keeping the fun alive on campus by organizing a wide range of events throughout the year. From concerts and movie nights to craft nights and themed parties, there’s always something happening to engage and entertain students. Join us for exciting activities and make the most of your campus experience!
- Racquetball Courts - Located on the first floor of the Gemmell Complex, our racquetball courts are free
for use by students and community members. They're open whenever the Gemmell Student
Complex is available and operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with students
having priority over public usage.
You can rent equipment at the Information Desk on the first floor, but please bring a valid student ID or driver’s license. Renters are responsible for any damages to the equipment, and all players must wear eye protection while playing. Enjoy some active fun!
- The Rotunda Areas - offer a beautiful setting for group projects, socializing, and events throughout the year. With its inviting atmosphere, it's the perfect place to connect with friends or collaborate on assignments. Plus, you can enjoy some friendly competition at the ping pong tables located on the lower rotunda floor. Come make the most of this vibrant space!
- The PennWest Clarion Bookstore is your go-to destination for purchasing textbooks, computer hardware and software, school supplies, and PennWest Clarion apparel and gear. - The PennWest Clarion Pantry assists our students by providing food, academic supplies and personal hygiene items, so they can continue on the path toward graduation. Students in need can ask to receive food or non-food supplies (personal hygiene items or school supplies) online.
The Gemmell Food Court is your go-to spot for delicious takeout from our ghost kitchen! Enjoy a diverse menu featuring flatbread pizzas, fresh salads, rice bowls, smashburgers, fresh-cut fries, nachos, and chicken tenders, among other tasty options.
