Coming to Clarion isn't just about earning a degree; it's also about building a life. Home to the Clarion Eagles varsity athletics, we also have more than 150 student clubs and organizations and an amazing recreation center with fitness and intramural opportunities for everyone. There are hundreds of ways to get involved. You also have access to hiking trails, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and stunning wildlife to observe along the Clarion River and Cook Forest, along with a vibrant downtown to explore.

The Gemmell Student Complex

We have all the comforts of home for resident and commuter students. The Gemmell Student Complex is home to various administrative offices, organizations, and activities that support student life on campus. It’s the place to go for a meal or a snack, to meet friends for a study session, or to enjoy some downtime between classes.

This resource is a distribution center for food and toiletries to students. Any student needing something can go to the Information Desk on the second floor of the Gemmell Complex and ask to be let into the resource room to get the items they need. Donations are also welcomed throughout the year, and they can also be dropped off at the Information Desk when it is open.

Student mailboxes are accessible seven days a week when Gemmell is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Package pick-up is available Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Flower deliveries will be available for pick up at the Gemmell Info Desk

Located on the first floor of the Gemmell Complex, there are racquetball courts that are free to use by students and community members. The racquetball courts are accessible whenever the Gemmell Student Complex is open and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students have first rights over public usage.

Equipment is available at the Information Desk on the second floor of Gemmell. A valid student ID or driver's license is required. Renters are responsible for any damages to the equipment. All players are required to wear eye protection when playing.

Wallyball

Wallyball is similar to volleyball, with the exception that it is played on a racquetball court. Students may also sign out the Wallyball equipment from the Information Desk.

The Gemmell Food Court serves a variety of food, including subs, pizza, sushi, rice bowls, chicken tenders, burgers, french fries, appetizers, and much more. You will also find Gemmell Grinds and Sono Latin Cuisine in the rotunda of Gemmell.

PSECU, the Pennsylvania State Employee Credit Union. PSECU offers on-campus financial services to students and PennWest Clarion employees.

Located on the first floor in the west wing of the Gemmell Complex, this is a private room that students and non-student parents can use for breastfeeding and lactation.
