Sign up for Text Alerts
Students are encouraged to register for PennWest Edinboro Alerts, our emergency text alert system used to notify the campus community about situations that pose an imminent physical threat, including severe weather conditions that result in classes being delayed or cancelled.
Students must register online with their campus username and password to receive emergency text alerts, and they must renew their registration each year. Each user may register two cellphone numbers to receive the alerts.
University Police
As a fully commissioned police force, PennWest Edinboro’s University Police work collaboratively with other law enforcement and public safety agencies as needed. Our officers maintain high visibility while performing their duties and maintain active involvement in student life by providing safety and prevention programs. Office of Safety and Risk Management
The Office of Safety and Risk Management assists the campus community in providing a safe and healthy environment for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, protecting the University's property, and preserving the environment. Safety is a shared responsibility—"University safety" begins with "U." The Office of Safety and Risk Management (SRM) maintains the emergency procedures, fire log and prevention information for the University, and much more.
