Anderson announces PennWest presidential transition committee

Sets timeline, guidance for Committee

President Anderson

After announcing the formation of a presidential transition committee in June, President Jon Anderson today announced members of the committee just one month into his tenure as leader of Pennsylvania Western University. The committee will play a key role in advancing engagement and access to communities and stakeholders across the three PennWest campuses and communities across western Pennsylvania.

Members include students, faculty, staff, alumni, and key stakeholders, who are charged with gathering insights and identifying opportunities to help shape priorities under Anderson’s leadership.

“As I begin to build connections with stakeholders, students, faculty and alumni across western Pennsylvania, I am eager to engage in a meaningful transition process guided by this committee of volunteers invested in the future of PennWest University and rooted in its tradition of excellence,” Anderson said.

“Insights and experience combined with innovation and optimism will drive our work together, as we embark on the important work of writing the next chapter of western Pennsylvania’s second largest public university.”
