Office for Students with Disabilities

The Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) supports PennWest in providing learning opportunities for a diverse population. We work to ensure that students with documented disabilities have equal access to University programs and services and are able to participate fully in academic and campus life.

If you are a student with disabilities, the OSD is available to work in partnership with you to enhance your prospects for academic success at PennWest. This partnership means that:

Requests for reasonable accommodations should be submitted directly to the Office for Students with Disabilities. If you are requesting an accommodation, you must provide documentation to substantiate your request and follow appropriate OSD procedures.

Please note that reasonable accommodations do not substantially alter the fundamental nature of the academic and/or technical standards of your PennWest coursework and/or program.

The accommodation you request must be supported by the documentation on file, and the OSD reserves the right to request additional documentation. 

Decisions regarding appropriate and reasonable accommodations rest with the Office for Students with Disabilities. Services of a personal nature are the student's responsibility.
